I'm so sorry to learn of Joanne's passing. She was an amazing mentor of the "computer arts" to so many people. She dragged us kicking and screaming into the world of computers, using good teaching techniques and gentle persuasion. I'm still afraid to get drinks anywhere near the computer because Joanne aways warned us about that! She seemed to always be available when we had a real problem or one that only seemed real.

So many of us will miss her skill and good nature in the face of amazingly dumb problems. We will miss her--period.

My sister forwarded to me the news of your mom passing. I thought for a minute and said wow, I think your mom is one of the last people from my childhood that were friends with my parents. It is almost like closing the last chapters of a book of now and transitioning to a book of memories.

I remember being little in the 70's and riding in your dad's dune buggy. I also fondly remember going with you two years in a row when we were on the Indians baseball team and soliciting houses for tag day. You would run giving me a piggy back ride and I would laugh and laugh.

Gerry, I will always remember your mom and seeing her pushing some type of audio visual equipment around the different floors of the high school. When I visualize your mom, I see her with her warm smile and always, yes always chewing gum.

My mom always had good stories to tell about your dad. Im sure glad I was able to know them both.

You were a good 3rd baseman. I wish you well.

Michael Bradley
